The Rise of Non-Invasive Procedures

By Brentz Walker

Patients who choose non-invasive procedures has gone up in recent times, statistics have shown. Less invasive types of cosmetic processes are more popular lately, although tummy tucks and breast augmentations show no signs of slowing down. These non-invasive types of procedures usually involve injection or laser technologies. There are many causes of the acceleration.

After cosmetic surgery, you have 2 options really. You can hide away till the healing is done. The other choice is that you go out and then run the risk that your recent procedure will be noticed by someone. You could keep it a secret from all, but it usually is not the best idea.

When a non-invasive procedure is done with expert care, usually no one can notice it afterward. People will often not know what it is, but will be able to tell that you look better in some way. It is a great reason to choose a more discrete and non-invasive procedure.

Healing alone at home is not an option many of us have, due to time constraints. A great benefit from non-invasive options is that a patient will usually be able to return to work on Monday after having the procedure done the Friday before. When other options in the cosmetic surgery world are considered, a non-invasive process is clearly a great choice for many. The fact that it doesn't take much time makes it so that a patient can slip in for a fast Botox treatment at lunch time. It's much easier to heal over the weekend from laser treatment than to have to schedule time off of work in order to recover from a more intensive cosmetic surgery.

Risks are involved with any type of procedure. Of the risks involved, the largest is with the general anesthesia that is used. Adverse reactions have been known to happen, and at times, they can be more severe. The patient is required to sign a waiver because of this. Instead, many patients are opting for simple, in-office procedures that are non-invasive and do not use general anesthesia are considerably safer.

The recent slowdown in the economy has had a negative impact on major cosmetic surgeries and at the same time, non-invasive procedures have been steadily increasing. Basically, it's cheaper to have a non-invasive procedure. Health insurance does not generally cover cosmetic procedures; they are considered elective. As these are rather costly, a lot of people take time and save their money, but in these tougher times, many are deciding to keep it for more important things.

Conversely, the price of a non-invasive procedure will not be nearly as high. The choice between an expensive surgery and a quick Botox injection that takes 10 minutes is pretty clear. A good less expensive alternative when economic times are not easy is a non-invasive procedure.

The results of many non-invasive procedures are just as stunning as their surgical counterparts. Having a procedure such as these is the result of a desire to look more youthful and to be more attractive. Whether you want to erase that frown line on your forehead or just add a little extra hair up there, non-invasive procedures can provide wonderful results. General anesthesia is not required, they can be fast, even only ten minutes, and non-invasive procedures have a minimal risk involved. Often, the patient can go right back to the job. For those who weigh the pros and cons, many decide that the better price, the faster healing, and the desired results can be achieved by non-invasive means. These are some of the reasons that non-invasive procedures are on the rise at this time.
