How To Lose A Stone - 3 Things You Should Be Doing

The concept behind losing a stone or even just a few pounds is pretty straightforward. There's a couple of things you should do and there's also a few things you should look to avoid. This article discusses the 3 things you should be doing to lose a stone.

Step 1: Increase your water intake
Chances are you're not getting enough water as this is the case with the majority of people out there. It actually could be the reason you may be over weight and need to lose that stone. When we think we are hungry we are usually just dehydrated, we cannot differentiate the difference between the two because we are so out of whack - you can thank all the processed food for that. Start upping your h20 levels to 3-4 litres a day and the weight will be flushed out of you - so to speak

Step 2: Cut out all liquid calories
It's very hard to try and keep track of liquid calories when trying to lose a stone or more so the best thing one can do is eliminate them altogether. Any calories from juice, fizzy drinks, alcohol or any of that nasty stuff is a big no no. This even means fruit juice is out - it's just not worth it. If you do find yourself reaching for the Tropicana, opt for an orange instead, your waistline will thank you.

Step 3: Cut back on processed foods
Processed foods are evil, the devil evil as in pointy horns and forked tail - if there is one group of foods that'd hell bent (pun intended) on derailing your progress it's processed foods. The bad news is that it's everywhere - the big commercial shopping centres and supermarket actually stock these foods in such a way that you'll be immediately attracted to them. Evil I know. If you can start eliminating these processed foods like sugars, artificial foods, white carbs like breads, pasta rice etc, you'll see a big difference straight away and you will drop a stone or more in not time.

It's important to note that these are just three steps that you can take to change for the better and start losing that unwanted stone - they are just the initial steps you can take. When you have these steps nailed down you'll be feeling better and more confident within a few days, your energy levels will be up and then you can start thinking about tackling a few more habits but it's best not to get too overwhelmed. Once you see some initial results from these changes the next steps will come as easy as pie (again pun most definitely intended).
